WordPress Sandbox and Live

Test WordPress payments on Base Sepolia and safely activate live USDC settlement on Base.

One key, two modes

Sandbox and Live use the same installation ID and API key. The plugin mode toggle determines the network used for challenges and settlement requests.

Sandbox

Sandbox uses x402 v2 with test USDC on Base Sepolia (eip155:84532). Use it to validate the complete browser or agent flow without moving real funds.

Live

Live uses USDC on Base (eip155:8453). Payments settle to the Coinbase wallet assigned to the Access402 project. A successful settlement consumes the account's monthly transaction allowance.

If the plugin reports Sandbox while Live is selected, re-save and verify the connection, confirm the synchronized rule environment, and inspect the Access402 activity detail before retrying payment.

Launch checklist

  • Confirm the displayed network, price, resource, and receiving wallet.
  • Test an unpaid request, a successful payment, and a repeat request.
  • Confirm administrator or role bypass behaves as intended.
  • Check the transaction hash and project activity record.
  • Validate media routing and caching separately when applicable.
