Protection versus discovery
Protection determines whether a known URL requires payment. Discovery advertises that payable resource to compatible external indexes. These are independent settings.
Publish a resource
Enable discovery on an eligible rule and provide a specific description. REST routes should also include accurate request examples and JSON Schemas when possible.
Access402 stores one authoritative publication state per resource and provider. Repeated synchronization updates that record instead of creating an unlimited event history.
External indexing
CDP controls Bazaar admission and indexing. Eligible metadata is cataloged asynchronously after successful settlement through the CDP facilitator. Access402 cannot guarantee admission, ranking, indexing time, or retention.
Remove a resource
Turn off discovery or delete the rule to request removal. Turning off discovery does not disable the payment rule unless you also disable protection.
