Usage and plan limits

Learn what counts as an Access402 transaction and how monthly allowances reset.

What counts

One successful verification and settlement consumes one transaction from the account allowance. Unpaid HTTP 402 challenges, invalid signatures, expired authorizations, rejected payment fields, and failed settlement attempts do not count.

An idempotent replay does not settle or deduct usage twice.

Plan allowances

  • Free: 500 successful settlements.
  • Launch: 8,000 successful settlements.
  • Scale: 40,000 successful settlements.
  • Enterprise: custom allowance and terms.

Billing cycle

Allowances reset on the account's monthly billing anniversary. The Free plan follows the same anniversary model and does not depend on Stripe to determine its cycle.

Limit enforcement

Access402 checks account and platform limits before facilitator verification, then reserves usage atomically. When the allowance is exhausted, settlement fails closed rather than creating uncontrolled facilitator cost.
